Personality tests vary from one company to another. However, the most popular tests are those of Myers-Briggs and Brainbench. Some questions, especially in the beginning of the test, are no-brainers. An example of a no-brainer question is: I can count from 1-10. Of course, you need to answer this with “true.” Questions like these are asked in the first part of the test to relax the examinee. Later on, you will be answering more complicated questions.
The next step in the personality test training is to scrutinize tricky questions. You need to analyze carefully whether your answers will hurt your application or take it further. An example of a tricky question is this: I work better if I am supervised. If you answer true to this, it can indicate that you are an obedient employee and can execute objectives under someone’s leadership. If your answer is false, it can also mean you possess leadership skills and need minimal supervision.
