What was Einstein IQ?

There is huge debate over how high Einstein IQ really was. While everyone agrees he was a genius, Einstein’s IQ variations range from 160 to more than 200 at a time when we do not even know if he ever had his IQ tested.

Born in Germany, Albert Einstein’s name is synonymous with the word genius and while we may never be sure of his true IQ score, he was smart enough to come up the theory of relativity. He also revolutionized how we think about time and space, and came up with a theoretical base for the research and use of atomic energy. Einstein made many other valuable contributions to today’s society and, in 1921 he won a Nobel Prize for his theory of the photoelectric effect.

Einstein had an above average ability to focus under difficult situations as long as they were things that mattered to him. For example, he may have worked on complex mathematical equations one minute, and the next be spending time with his family, with a focus that not many people have.

Although we do not really know the true statistics of Einstein’s IQ, we do know he was interested in the concept of measuring genius when he wrote the Einstein IQ test. Albert Einstein’s work is still relevant today and is the basis for much of the modern era of thinking.
